Rev. Dr. Gary Domiano - Pastor for the English Congregation

Pastor Gary became a member of First Baptist Church in 1987 and joined the pastoral staff in 1990. After serving as the Youth Pastor from 1990 - 1999, he accepted the call to serve as the English Pastor in 1999. Pastor Gary is committed to expository preaching, equipping every member for works of service, mentoring new leaders, and shepherding the flock of God in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural context. He graduated from Stony Brook University in 1986 with a B.S. in Mathematics. In 1993, he received his M.Div from Seminary of the East in NYC and was ordained in 1994. In 2009, he received his D.Min from New York Theological Seminary with an emphasis in spiritual formation. He is married to Hazel-Ann, a native of Barbados, and they have 4 beautiful children.

Rev. John Wang - Pastor for the Chinese Congregation

Reverend John Wang has been serving as the Chinese Pastor since March, 2002. Prior to his appointment he was a professional engineer working in the design of bridges and other transportation facilities. He was born in Taiwan and raised in Argentina. Having the unique multi-cultural background, he is committed to the ministry model of First Baptist Church in reaching out all people of the world represented in Flushing. He served at First Baptist Church as a ministry intern while studying at the Seminary of the East and received his MDiv in 2001. Pastor John and his wife, Fanny, have two beautiful children.

Rev. Raul Latoni - Pastor for the Spanish Congregation

Reverend Raul Latoni was born on January 30th, 1963 in Panama and was raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He graduated from the University of Massachussets in 1985 with a B.A. in Economics. He also attended Pace University’s Graduate School of Business. In June of 1992 he graduated from the Instituto Teológico de Las Asambleas de Iglesias Cristianas. In December of 2002 he received his M.Div. degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is married to Adele and has two children: Julianna and Giancarlo.  In March of 2003 was called to pastor the Spanish language congregation at the First Baptist Church of Flushing.

Minister Maria Cheung - Children’s Minister

After starting her seminary education in 1996, Maria accepted a full time ministry internship as the Administrator of the Chinese Youth and College Ministries. In 1999 Maria graduated from Alliance Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity.  As Minister of Christian Education, Community Outreach, and Discipleship, Maria is completely committed to providing each congregation at First Baptist, as well as the Flushing community at large, with educational and mentoring programs.  Maria also directs the First Baptist Summer Day Camp Program. This program hosts over 200 children each summer.

Minister Eddie Dhanpat Jr. - Youth Director

Eddie was born in New York City and has lived in Flushing for the majority of his life.  His experiences here have made him very familiar with both the culture of Flushing as well as the youth of the neighborhood.  He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at C.U.N.Y Queens College.  He is currently attending Bethel Seminary of the East, and pursuing a Masters of Divinity.  Eddie recently got married in October 2008.  He is honored to serve at FBC and hopes that God will continue to give him the strength to faithfully serve the youth.
