Henry W. Kwan Senior Pastor Reverend Doctor Henry W. Kwan has dedicated himself to the study and practice of effective church ministry. He is a graduate of the University of Houston, Hofstra University, Dallas Theological Seminary , and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. For the past twenty two years, he has served in pastoral ministries in New York City, Houston, Hong Kong, and has taught in The Seminary of the East, Queen's Bible College, Alliance Theological Seminary, and Evangel Bible Seminary. Reverend Kwan has published many articles in local and Christian newspapers, magazines, and journals. As Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Flushing, he will lead a staff of pastors and ministers to serve a multi-ethnic and multi-culture church of three congregations with various kinds of supportive ministries. In partnership with like minded churches, Christian organizations, and brothers and sisters in Christ, the mission of Reverend Kwan is to glorify God by winning our community to Him, and spreading the gospel to the ends of the world. Reverend Kwan has been married to Rosita for twenty five years and they have three grown children, Samuel, Stephanie and Simeon.
Gary Domiano Pastor of the English Congregation Pastor Gary Domiano has been serving at First Baptist Church for the past 18 years. From 1990 - 1999, he served as the pastor for youth and family ministries. In 1999, he accepted the call to serve as the English pastor. He is a graduate of Stony Brook University, Seminary of the East, and is currently working on a doctorate from New York Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1994. As the English Pastor, Pastor Domiano is committed to expository preaching, equipping every member for works of service, mentoring new leaders, and shepherding the flock of God. He has been married to Hazel-Ann for 17 years and they have 4 beautiful children.
Raul Latoni Pastor of the Spanish Congregation Pastor Latoni was born on January 30th 1963 in Panama and was raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He is the son of Dr. Raúl Latoni and Lenidas Ramírez Esq. He has four siblings: Lenidas, Maritza, José Raúl and Carlos Raúl He graduated from the University of Massachussets in 1985 with a B.A. in Economics. He also attended Pace University’s Graduate School of Business. On October 1,1987 he received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the Iglesia Cristiana de Avivamiento in Brooklyn. Shortly after he felt called to the ministry and in June of 1992 graduated from the Instituto Teológico de Las Asambleas de Iglesias Cristianas. In December of 2002 he received his M.Div. degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married Adele Rodríguez on October 6,1990 and has two children: Lulianna and Giancarlo. He began his full time ministry at Grace Baptist Church in November of 2000 and in March of 2003 was called to pastor the Spanish language congregation at the First Baptist Church of Flushing.
John Wang Pastor of the Chinese Congregation Pastor John Wang has been serving as the Chinese Pastor since March, 2002. Prior to his appointment he was a professional engineer working in the design of bridges and other transportation facilities. He served at First Baptist Church as a ministry intern while studying at the Seminary of the East and received his MDiv in 2001. Pastor John and his wife, Fanny, have two beautiful children: Victor, born in 1993, and Veronica, born in 1996. Pastor John was born in Taiwan and raised in Argentina. Having the unique multi-cultural background, he is committed to the ministry model of First Baptist Church in reaching out all people of the world represented in Flushing.
	Maria Cheung Christian Education In 1999 Maria graduated from Alliance Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity, but her relationship to First Baptist began many years before that. Beginning in1991 she served as a volunteer with the Senior Citizens Ministry and the Youth Ministry. After starting her seminary education in 1996, Maria accepted a full time ministry internship as the Administrator of the Chinese Youth and College Ministries. In the course of her internship, she was responsible for mentoring, counseling and training new leaders. She also organized youth and college conferences. Often, she participated in the conference as the keynote speaker. Since 1998, Maria has directed the First Baptist Summer Day Camp Program. This program has grown from 100 children to over 200 children in attendance each summer, and continues to grow even to this day. As Minister of Christian Education, Community Outreach, and Discipleship, Maria is completely committed to providing each congregation at First Baptist, as well as the Flushing community at large, with educational and mentoring programs designed to provide opportunity for each person to become all that God wants them to be.
